Sumitomo Metal Mining First Wins iF DESIGN AWARD ~ DOWN-LESS DOWN JACKET, a Prototype of SOLAMENT

Sumitomo Metal Mining Researcher’s Article Published in Nature’s Scientific Reports

We are pleased to inform you that our article “Absorption peak decomposition of an inhomogeneous nanoparticle ensemble of hexagonal tungsten bronzes using the reduced Mie scattering integration method” has been published online Scientific Reports, by the globally respected publisher Springer Nature. This publication underscores our commitment to advancing scientific knowledge in our field.

The effect of ensemble inhomogeneity of nanoparticles, which has generally been ignored thus far, was considered and a new method was proposed to incorporate it in the optical analysis. The proposed method allowed to decompose the absorption peak profiles accurately into active components, and thereby enabled to determine the plasma frequency and relaxation time of a single CWO nanoparticle in the ensemble. It is expected to be applied widely to various plasmonic systems in their optical analyses.
